Carib Bean Coffee Roasters

Since 1997

Overview

Carib Bean Coffee Roasters has been operating from a hilltop on Horsford Hill above Falmouth Harbour since 1997, making it Antigua's only commercial specialty coffee roaster. The roastery runs a Sivetz fluid-bed roaster — known locally as 'The Bean Machine' — using pure convective heat transfer rather than the traditional drum, and roasts to order daily for restaurants, yachts, and retail across the island and neighboring Caribbean states.

Known for

  • Antigua and Barbuda's only full-service commercial specialty coffee roaster, since 1997
  • Sivetz fluid-bed roaster ('The Bean Machine') using pure convective heat instead of drum roasting
  • Roast-to-order operation supplying most Antiguan restaurants and many superyachts in Falmouth/English Harbour
  • Open Roast Days every Wednesday letting visitors watch the roast firsthand
  • Signature blends Hurricane Brew, Caribbean Dream, One Luv, and Primo plus custom labels for villas, yachts, hotels, and restaurants

Why it matters

Falmouth Harbour is one of the densest superyacht hubs in the Caribbean, and Carib Bean's hilltop roastery is the local specialty backbone of that economy — custom-blending and labelling for individual yachts and villas. As a Caribbean fluid-bed-roaster operator since 1997, it predates most other regional specialty operations by a decade or more.
