Kapra Coffee is Brunei's first third-wave specialty coffee bar, opening on Jalan Muara in Bandar Seri Begawan and serving single-origin coffees from beans roasted on-site in a viewing-window setup. Travel reviewers from at least September 2016 onwards flag it as the first specialty cafe to bring third-wave culture to the sultanate.
Brunei's specialty coffee scene has expanded since the late 2010s (Roasted Sip with three branches, Krema, Another Cafe, High Frequency) but Kapra is the original third-wave entry point — the operation that made single-origin and proper espresso-bar service available in Bandar Seri Begawan for the first time. The viewing-window roastery setup remains a regional rarity at this scale.
