Lot Sixty One Coffee Malta is the Maltese franchise of the Amsterdam roastery, brought to Malta by Clayton Xuereb, who also founded the local chapter of the Specialty Coffee Association. It runs a Probat L12 roaster at its Naxxar roastery and a flagship cafe in Valletta opposite the Is-Suq Tal-Belt food market, and has been twice recognized in Europe's Top 50 Coffee Shops list.
Lot Sixty One Malta brought third-wave specialty coffee to a market dominated by Italian-style espresso and resort F&B, and Clayton Xuereb's parallel work building the Specialty Coffee Association of Malta gave the country an institutional anchor for the next generation of operators.
