TCI Coffee Roasters

Overview

TCI Coffee Roasters is Turks and Caicos's first and only specialty coffee roaster, founded by Victoria Turner on Providenciales around 2006 (an October 2018 article noted twelve years of operation). Each blend is named for a TCI geographic landmark — Blue Hills, French Cay, Grace Bay, Grand Turk — and roasted in small artisan batches from organic and sustainably sourced green beans.

Known for

  • Turks and Caicos first specialty coffee roaster
  • Roaster Victoria Turner
  • Geographic-landmark blend naming (Blue Hills, French Cay, Grace Bay, Grand Turk)
  • Bambarra-rum-soaked TCI Coffee bean collaboration with FOTTAC
  • Rainforest Alliance / Bird-Friendly green coffee sourcing

Why it matters

TCI doesn't grow coffee — and before TCI Coffee Roasters, residents and tourists relied on imported roasted product or hotel-chain offerings. Turner's operation, supported by Invest TCI's MSME program, is the only roastery between Grand Turk's lone Starbucks (which opened at the cruise port in 2019) and the rest of the country.
